Dear Mr. Smith
I am writing to thank you for the great opportunity to attend your university on a full ride scholarship. I was very excited and thankful to receive the award letter that you gave me at the end of last month.
I plan to pursue my Master’s in Education and hopefully be accepted into the PhD program upon completion. I have a goal to work on the state education board so that I can work to improve schools across the state. Thanks to this scholarship, I am going to be able to move forward in my pursuit of these dreams.
Again, I would like to say thank you for allowing me to have this amazing opportunity to study with some of the greatest professors in the state. I hope that you come to see me as a hard working and dedicated student so that I can fulfill and surpass all of your expectations.
